Field Trips Scavenger Hunt Presentation

The Importance of Field Trips

Field trips are important because they allow students to connect the concepts they are learning in the classroom and apply them to real world situations in the community.  In order for a field trip to be effective and appropriate, it must connect directly with the classroom curriculum.  A field trip can effectively be used to introduce a new topic or reinforce a recently completed unit of study.  Field trips also provide teachers with another resource to promote learning from diverse perspectives (disposition 1.12).
